Welcome to Small Space Chicago

I’ve lived in Chicago for more than 20 years, and I have always gravitated towards smaller spaces. From a hole-in-the-wall studio apartment in Lakeview—to a one-bedroom rental in Uptown—home over the past two decades has been under 1000 square feet.

Today, home is a 600 square-foot rehab in Ravenswood (purchased just before the market collapsed). So, knowing that this would be home for a while, I had to come up with creative solutions to make this space work. Definitely a work in progress, over time I’ll update you on how I’m making this tiny space home.
